Job Overview
The Java and AWS Lead Software Engineer joins an agile team within Consumer and Community Banking.
The role delivers trusted, secure, stable, and scalable technology products as a core technical contributor.
The position combines hands-on software engineering, cloud infrastructure, operational resilience, and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop secure production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Design high-performance solutions using Java, Spring, AWS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Manage cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, security, compliance, and resilience.
- Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and reliable deployments.
- Promote responsible AI-assisted engineering practices with validation standards.
- Evaluate technologies and lead technical sessions with vendors and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
