IT Manager

Role Overview

IT Infrastructure and Operations

• Manage IT infrastructure across offices and business operations.
• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of systems, networks, servers, and business applications.
• Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, and technology projects.
• Manage IT assets, hardware, software, licenses, and technology inventory.

Information and Cybersecurity

• Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Manage user access, permissions, authentication, and security protocols.
• Monitor systems and networks for vulnerabilities, risks, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain antivirus, firewall, endpoint protection, and other cybersecurity measures.
• Conduct security reviews and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote cybersecurity awareness and sound IT practices.

Network and Server Administration

• Manage LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, switches, routers, and other network infrastructure.
• Administer physical and virtual servers and maintain their availability and performance.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, access rights, and Group Policies where applicable.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain server patches, updates, and security configurations.

ERP and Business Systems

• Manage and support ERP and other business applications.
• Coordinate ERP requirements, enhancements, and technical issues with departments and vendors.
• Manage system users, permissions, and access levels.
• Support integrations, upgrades, implementations, process automation, and technology-enabled efficiency improvements.

Data, Backup, and Recovery

• Establish and maintain data backup and recovery procedures.
• Securely back up critical data and regularly test its recoverability.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements for critical systems.
• Control data storage, retention, accessibility, and protection.

Microsoft 365 and Support

• Administer Microsoft 365, corporate email, user accounts, and related applications.
• Manage SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other collaboration platforms where applicable.
• Maintain access controls, security settings, and data-sharing permissions.
• Oversee equipment installation, maintenance, software updates, licensing, compliance, and employee IT support.

Governance and Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, documentation, and infrastructure records.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and technology vendors.
• Evaluate quotations, service agreements, and IT solutions for technical suitability and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare and manage IT budgets and report on performance, risks, projects, and improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• At least seven years of professional IT experience, including IT management or senior infrastructure experience, is required.
• Strong practical experience across cybersecurity, networks, servers, ERP, Microsoft 365, backup and recovery, hardware and software, infrastructure, and access security is required.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and coordination skills are required.
• The candidate must independently manage IT projects and priorities and manage external IT vendors.
• Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, ITIL, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
