As the Senior IT Engineering Manager – StoreWeb Modernization, you will lead engineering execution for one of TJX’s most transformative programs. You will build and lead a high‑performing engineering team in India, define the modernization roadmap, and ensure the safe evolution of legacy StoreWeb systems into cloud‑native, API‑driven, observable, resilient services. You are both a people leader and a hands‑on technical influencer—your decisions will shape modernization velocity, engineering standards, and cross‑team execution.

Own and evolve the QE strategy for the MPP portfolio, aligning testing practices to merchandise planning priorities, product roadmaps, engineering delivery, and business risk.
Establish consistent MPP testing standards, test governance routines, quality gates, traceability expectations, and reusable assets across manual and automated testing teams.
Guide test planning, estimation, scope, execution, defect management, release readiness, and test closure across concurrent MPP initiatives, enhancements, integrations, and production releases.
Use risk-based testing to prioritize critical planning workflows, data movement, batch processing, integrations, reporting, cross-banner variations, and non-functional requirements.
Define and execute the MPP automation roadmap with emphasis on maintainability, reusable regression coverage, data-driven validation, and faster feedback for business-critical planning capabilities.
Promote shift-left quality practices and integrate automated testing with CI/CD delivery pipelines, environment readiness, and deployment validation where appropriate.
Guide teams in selecting fit-for-purpose approaches for UI, API, integration, database, batch, regression, end-to-end, performance, and production validation testing.
Encourage responsible use of modern tooling, analytics, test data techniques, and AI-assisted testing to improve quality, speed, transparency, and learning across the MPP QE organization.
Establish meaningful quality measures and dashboards, including defect trends, test coverage, automation effectiveness, escaped defects, and release risk.
Lead defect triage and root-cause analysis practices; ensure risks, dependencies, blockers, and mitigation actions are transparent.
Provide evidence-based quality recommendations for release readiness and Go/No-Go decisions.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, vendors, and merchandise planning business stakeholders to resolve systemic quality issues and improve delivery predictability.
Provide QE leadership across Agile teams and large programs operating within a SAFe environment.
Ensure QE is represented in PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration planning, system demos, retrospectives, and Inspect and Adapt activities.
Align capacity, test environments, test data, automation priorities, dependencies, and release commitments across teams.
Balance strategic capability building with predictable execution of committed work.
Lead a large or multi-team QE organization supporting the MPP portfolio, including manual testers, automation engineers, test leads, vendor partners, and matrixed delivery contributors.
Set clear goals and expectations; conduct performance evaluations and provide timely, specific, and discreet feedback.
Coach, mentor, and guide Associates on technical capability, delivery ownership, collaboration, and career development.
Plan workforce capacity, recruitment, onboarding, succession, skills development, and assignment of work.
Create an inclusive, accountable, learning-oriented environment in which team members can challenge assumptions and improve practices.
Sets direction, establishes standards, and makes evidence-based quality decisions.
Builds trust, manages performance, coaches talent, and creates clarity and accountability.
Connects quality investments to product risk, customer impact, and business outcomes.

Release decisions supported by transparent quality evidence, risks, and mitigation plans.
Improved defect prevention, root-cause learning, automation reliability, and testing efficiency.
