Role Overview

The IT Compliance Associate strengthens IT audit, technical documentation, and knowledge management across the group's critical IT environment.

The role combines practical technical understanding with documentation discipline and stakeholder coordination.

Six-Month Deliverables

  • Create a prioritized inventory of IT systems, processes, procedures, and existing documentation.
  • Produce approved SOPs in the company-controlled knowledge base with named owners and review dates.
  • Provide validation evidence that priority documentation can be followed without undocumented assistance.
  • Complete registers of documentation gaps, continuity risks, control issues, owners, actions, and status.
  • Prepare a handover package covering standards, ownership, review requirements, outstanding actions, and next steps.

IT Compliance and Documentation

  • Map and prioritize critical IT systems, processes, procedures, and existing documentation.
  • Develop SOPs, runbooks, process maps, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Apply standards for ownership, version control, review cycles, approvals, and change history.
  • Maintain a central knowledge base and keep documentation current throughout the engagement.

Technical Validation and Assurance

  • Build sufficient system knowledge to understand and validate documented procedures through practical use.
  • Test draft SOPs and runbooks to confirm that they are complete, accurate, and workable.
  • Identify missing steps, assumptions, dependencies, access requirements, and undocumented critical knowledge.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues to distinguish documentation gaps from underlying system issues.

Governance, Risk, and Controls

  • Identify concentration of critical knowledge, access, or decision-making and recommend mitigation.
  • Document access, security, change, escalation, recovery, and other control procedures.
  • Highlight ownership issues, control weaknesses, undocumented dependencies, and governance gaps.
  • Facilitate process and business-unit walkthroughs to validate policy alignment and identify control gaps.

Process Improvement and Delivery

  • Standardize recurring IT workflows and documentation formats where appropriate.
  • Recommend improvements for inefficient manual steps, unclear hand-offs, and recurring friction.
  • Deliver an agreed six-month work plan with priorities, milestones, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide progress updates and coordinate technical input, validation, sign-off, and handover with IT and process owners.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in IT governance, IT operations, systems administration, technical documentation, IT controls, or a related role.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, process maps, knowledge bases, or technical procedures from firsthand process understanding.
  • Working knowledge of networking, endpoint management, identity and access management, and business productivity platforms.
  • Ability to operate technical systems, validate documentation, identify gaps, and engage with technical stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering defined projects or work streams to milestones while coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • IT governance, audit, or service-management certification such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, CompTIA, Microsoft, Google, CISA, or similar.
  • Experience administering documentation systems or technical knowledge bases using Notion, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar.
  • Exposure to regulated environments where documentation quality, evidence, and control effectiveness are important.
  • Project coordination or project-management experience in consulting, contract, multi-entity, international, or fast-scaling environments.

Benefits and Company Information

  • The company describes a collaborative, close-knit scale-up environment with ownership, accountability, and long-term growth.
  • Benefits include premium medical insurance, performance-based bonuses, corporate benefits, team-building activities, and visa sponsorship.
  • The group operates across six countries and provides technology, operational, and consulting solutions.
