About the Role
Raise is hiring an IT Business Decision Support Consultant for a 1-year contract with a major electrical energy supplier in Vancouver. You will provide compliance system support, act as a bridge between business and IT, and lead improvement initiatives for Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS) enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities
- Provide high quality ongoing support to end users for process and system related inquiries, acting as primary advocate for IT compliance systems
- Develop, plan, and execute initiatives to continually improve user experience within compliance databases and tools
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, system workflows, and system impact analyses to support technological updates and integrations
- Provide Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS) compliance subject matter expertise, program management, and coordination support
- Act as primary liaison between Reliability Standards Assurance team, Compliance teams, and Compliance Program Office regarding MRS Enterprise solution and WECC audit inquiries
- Work closely with stakeholders to analyze MRS requirements and assess impact across Operations & Planning and Critical Infrastructure Protection standards
- Lead collaborative cross functional working groups to build collective understanding of standards and support implementation of business improvement opportunities
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive business analysis experience in medium to large IT projects within a complex, highly regulated enterprise environment
- Work experience related to compliance, NERC/WECC reliability standards, or electric utility industry highly preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent facilitation, coordination, and relationship building skills
- Strong logical and analytical skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Must supply own Windows 11 laptop and smartphone

Role Overview
- Compliance System Support specialist plays a vital role in enabling, supporting, and maintaining Mandatory Reliability Standards (MRS) enterprise solutions.
- Operates within a complex utility environment as a key bridge between business compliance departments, the Reliability Standards Assurance team, and IT/Technology Specialists.
Responsibilities
- System Support & Business Analysis: Provide high quality ongoing support to end users, act as primary advocate for IT compliance systems.
- System Improvement: Develop, plan, and execute initiatives to continually improve user experience within compliance databases and tools.
- Impact Analysis: Prepare comprehensive documentation, system workflows, and system impact analyses.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive business analysis experience in medium to large IT projects within a complex, highly regulated enterprise environment.
- Work experience related to compliance, NERC/WECC reliability standards, or electric utility industry highly preferred.

Additional Information
- Pay Rate: CAD 54.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Contract Length: 1 Year.
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia.
