About the Role
Canon EMEA is seeking an IP Semiconductor Service Engineer to provide on-site support for semiconductor equipment installations and maintenance at European customer sites. The role involves service, installation, administration, training, and specialist work.

Responsibilities
- Provide service support to customers including machine inspection, testing, repairs, fault diagnosis, and ordering parts
- Install machines on site including equipment receipt, assembly, fine tuning, and qualification/optimisation
- Complete technical reports and documentation, provide telephone and email support, order tools/parts, ensure H&S compliance
- Provide formal training to customers as required
- Undertake specialised service work including Theta Z units, projection lens, X Y stage and OPTF replacements
- Maintain specialist knowledge, study service reports, attend training courses
- Advise customers on technical issues, resolve problems, liaise with Operations Manager and Japan/Amsterdam
Requirements
- Minimum HNC in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- High standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills
- Electrical or electronic background for a minimum of 3 years
- Computer literate with good competence of standard software including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach
- Proven employment track record
- Driving license

Job Description
- IP Semiconductor Service Engineer needed for on site support of new equipment installations and maintenance at various European based customer sites. Semiconductor Service engineers repair, service and optimise Canon’s semiconductor machines at customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Service To provide service support to customers in line with service guidelines including machine inspection, testing, repairs, fault diagnosis, ordering parts, and follow up support.
- Installation To install machines on site including equipment receipt, assembly, fine tuning, and qualification/optimisation.
- Administration To provide general service administration, complete technical reports, provide telephone/email support, order tools/parts, ensure H&S compliance.
- Training To provide more formal training to customers as required.
- Specialist Service work To undertake specialised service work including Theta Z units, projection lens, X Y stage and OPTF replacements.
- Maintain specialist knowledge Study service reports, attend training courses, maintain high skill levels.
- Canon Brand Ambassador & Customer key contact Advise customers, resolve technical problems, liaise with Operations Manager, Japan or Amsterdam.
Qualifications
- Minimum HNC in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- High standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills
- Electrical or electronic background for a minimum of 3 years.
- Mechanical skills advantageous
- Computer literate with good competence of standard software including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills and a flexible approach
- Proven employment track record
- Driving license
- Previous lithography experience would be beneficial
