Role Overview
This analyst-level role is on a MENA investment team within a global capital formation team focused on venture capital in emerging markets.

The analyst represents the investment team locally and works directly with founders across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence and execute investment contracts for prospective deals.
- Support founders with governance, fundraising readiness, investment decks, financial models, and data rooms.
- Research and document investment-process steps for internal decision-making.
- Maintain investment data, metrics, and files for current and prospective deals.
- Monitor portfolio companies and track key business metrics and fundraising effectiveness.
- Track market, competitor, and technology developments relevant to investments.
- Build relationships with founders, co-investors, ecosystem partners, mentors, and advisors.
- Participate in startup communities across the region.
Milestones
- During the first month, complete processing training, learn the platform, onboard a company, and take ownership of portfolio communications.
- Within three months, understand the investment strategy, research potential investments, write committee memos, analyze follow-on terms, and execute deals under supervision.
- Within nine months, execute deals independently, prepare startups for fundraising, build an investor network, and become a trusted resource to portfolio companies.
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- One to two years of professional experience; strong internship or fellowship experience is acceptable.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Ability to lead projects to completion with limited direction.
- Strong attention to detail and capacity for independent research.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional or academic context.
- Genuine interest in startups and startup ecosystems.
