Inventory Specialist

· Help drive store’s profitability by guiding team members in delivering a positive and friendly experience by engaging the customer through thoughtful conversation and exceptional service.

· Prioritizes and communicates department issues to the Inventory & Compliance Manager.

· Ensure vendor/distributor deliveries and vendor/distributor payment pickups are optimized for maximum effectiveness.

· Partner with store leadership to educate and communicate hourly and daily goals to drive sales.

· Supports and assists floor coverage including breaks and lunches in accordance with business needs, traffic trends and Meal Break Policy.

· Prioritizes and communicates department insights to the Inventory & Compliance Manager.

· Supports and leads the team to perform all store level operational procedures accurately and in a timely fashion, in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

· Support store goals by training in loss prevention awareness and overseeing adherence to loss prevention practices.

· Assists in leading the team in shipping and receiving process and complete shipment turnaround process.

· Assists in ensuring all operational tasks are completed.

· Maintains backstock areas (clean and organized).

· Ensure compliance with all DCC, State and City regulations.

· Ensure compliance with company emergency and safety procedures to protect employees and customers from accidents and incidents.

· Consistently evaluate current processes to ensure they are streamlined and efficient.

· Support of all operational tasks regarding menus; images, naming conventions, etc.

· Support of Inventory Report generation and distribution by 3pm PST every Monday.

· Lead with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Possesses excellent communication skills, effectively delegate projects, and consistently follows up with the team.

· Exhibit consistent professional communication, follow through and problem-solving skills while maintaining a global view of store operations.

· Communicates store and company information/directives to the store team.

· Actively participates in daily, department and store meetings.

· Effectively utilize Communication Binder, amongst other resources to ensure that important information reaches the entire team.

· Support the Store and Delivery Team to maximize sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sale.

· Coach the Store and Delivery Team to take initiative as employees to oversee all levels of Consumer service by setting daily goals and expectation to create a positive store environment.

· Exhibit excellent floor presence by training the store team on customer standards, product placement and time management.

· Support the store to maximize sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise from receipt to sale.

· Support the team by contributing to the maintenance of all product stock areas.

· Guides team to uphold company customer service standards.

· Collaborate with General Manager and Store Leadership to enhance the store environment and efficiently execute all inventory and merchandising projects.

· Collaborate with General Manager and Store Leadership to ensure fast and efficient flow of merchandise to the sales floor.

· Ensure a neat, clean, and organized store environment.

· Exhibit a familiarity with current product and trend awareness.

· Support the store team by assisting in merchandising and display products as needed.

· This job operates in a professional cannabis store environment.

· This role routinely uses standard office and store equipment such as computers, phones, printers, POS.

· This position regular requires working evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

· While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

· While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and required to lift a min of 50lbs.

· This is a non-exempt, full-time position which reports to the Inventory & Compliance Manager.

· This position can require work on early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

· This position may require you to travel to corporate offices as well as other store locations for training, learning and development.
