Role Overview
The role covers quantity surveying, construction cost control, tendering, contract documentation, and commercial support during project supervision.

Cost and Quantity Surveying
- Prepare high-level project cost estimates during the project sales process.
- Analyze design drawings and perform quantity take-offs for bills of quantities.
- Research supplier unit rates for construction cost estimates.
- Conduct unit-rate and cost analyses for complex design options.
- Lead development of bills of quantities and incorporate design-sector comments.
Tendering and Procurement
- Address contractor tender queries about contract conditions and bills of quantities.
- Support client negotiations with contractors during tendering.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and specifications engineers.
- Prepare pre-qualification documents and instructions to tenderers.
- Consolidate final tender documents and issue addenda for tender queries.
- Review contractor bids and prepare tender evaluation reports and post-tender clarifications.
Contracts and Construction Support
- Prepare conditions of contract and instructions to tenderers in line with FIDIC conditions and client or consultant replies.
- Develop contract documents and conditions of contract after contractor appointment.
- Assess variations and evaluate contractor claims for additional works.
- Present cost estimates for scope changes to the client through the Senior Project Manager.
- Support sites with questions about contract conditions and commercial issues.
- Review interim payment applications, verify amounts, and issue payment certificates on behalf of the client.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying best practices.
- Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
- Knowledge of Middle East engineering-related rules and regulations.
- Good communication skills.
- At least five years of UAE experience is required.
Employment and Workplace
The position is full-time and permanent.
Work location is in person.
