The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work with the Robotics New Product Development team to develop next generation products in the field of surgical robotics.
may include designing components or subsystems, executing engineering testing of prototypes, conducting design reviews and creating project related documentation.
What will you be doing?
Work closely with managers to complete specifically identified internship projects
Present project conclusion to senior leadership
Create documentation as required by the Smith and Nephew Robotics Quality Management System
What will you need to be successful?
Must be currently matriculated or within a year of matriculation in an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar field of study.
Must be in excellent academic standing, with a 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
Previous applicable internship, part-time or apprenticeship experience is preferred

Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as Solidworks
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is preferred
