Intern - Firmware Engineer

0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, research, coursework, academic projects, or software/firmware development activities.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and returning to school following the internship.

Proficiency in C/C++ programming acquired through coursework, projects, internships, or research experience.

Basic understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and software debugging concepts.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience using AI-enabled tools and large language models (LLMs), such as Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies, to support coursework, projects, or daily work activities.

Previous internship, research, or project experience in firmware, embedded software, or systems engineering.

Familiarity with SSD technology, storage systems, or computer hardware architectures.

Experience using development tools such as Git, JIRA, or similar version control and project management platforms.

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for automation, testing, or data analysis.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet project deadlines, and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
