Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and review drawings of systems or components according to established standards.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports for assigned tasks.
• Assist with field investigations, inspections, design work, checking design computations, and coordination of design aspects.
• Identify applicable codes and standards when evaluating responses to inquiries.
• Conduct and document basic building code and egress analyses.
• Review fire detection and alarm systems, smoke control systems, sprinkler systems, and water supply systems, including hydraulic calculations.
• Perform calculations involving means of egress, maximum allowable building area, sprinkler water supplies, and smoke control equipment.
• Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and others.
