Overview
- The Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS) is an intergovernmental treaty, under the aegis of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), concerned with the conservation of wildlife and habitats on a global scale.

- The internship provides hands on experience in international environmental cooperation, with a focus on data management, reporting, and digital tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in compiling, organizing, and maintaining datasets related to CMS activities, species, and agreements
- Support the structuring and management of internal information systems and repositories
- Contribute to the improvement of data organization practices and workflows
- Assist in cleaning, validating, and preparing datasets for analysis
- Support the development of basic data visualizations and reporting outputs (e.g., charts, dashboards)
- Contribute to data driven insights to support programme activities and decision making
- Support the management and updating of internal knowledge platforms and document repositories
- Ensure proper categorization, tagging, and accessibility of documents and datasets
- Assist in improving information sharing practices within the Secretariat
- Other Ad Hoc Tasks as requested by the Supervisor
