The employer is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems professional for a traffic operations and ITS environment in the Middle East.
The role focuses on Roads Management Centre and Tunnels Control Centre operational performance, reporting, and improvement strategies.
Job Purpose
- Monitor and report on the operational performance of the Roads Management Centre and Tunnels Control Centres.
- Lead analysis and preparation of operational improvement strategies.
- Manage monthly performance reporting for RMC and Tunnels Operations and ad-hoc reporting for major incidents and special events.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractors providing SCATS and traffic engineering support to optimize on-road performance.
- Manage the production and review of monthly RMC and Tunnels operations performance reports.
- Coordinate major-incident and special-event reporting and lead lessons-learned assessments.
- Lead data and process analysis for SCATS, incident management, and event management improvement plans.
- Manage RMC and Tunnels customer complaints, SLA responses, and root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate special events with the Ministry of Interior, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, and Ministry of Transport.
- Prepare traffic response plans and configure traffic management systems for special events.
- Analyze response-plan effectiveness and deliver improvements using traffic simulation modelling, data analysis, and traffic engineering.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Computer Science, or a similar field is required.
- At least 10 years of experience in transportation planning and management is required.
- A proven management track record, ideally in the Middle East region, is required.
- Experience with traffic modelling systems and data analysis tools is required.
- Experience leading traffic studies and major-event traffic management planning is required.
- Experience delivering management-level reporting and meeting contractual deadlines is required.
