Insurance Manager

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage daily insurance requirements across company business units according to policies and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, ensure assets are insured, and analyze data to improve coverage and control costs.
• Lead implementation of commercial risk insurance objectives and facilitate high-performance work processes.
• Manage underwriting requirements and ensure adherence to applicable guidelines.
• Renew insurance policies annually according to defined procedures.
• Administer policy changes, including asset additions, deletions, and changes in risk.
• Manage claims reporting and settlements with insurance companies and loss adjusters.
• Maintain loss details and loss-ratio records and submit an annual analysis report.

Experience and Education

• At least 8 years of total work experience and 5 years of relevant experience are required.
• At least 2 years of GCC experience is an advantage.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, public administration, business administration, or a related field is required.
• Professional insurance certifications such as ACII and FCII are listed among the job qualifications.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of insurance claims processing, insurance procurement, local markets, industry products, regulations, and development is required.
• Experience with insurance markets, underwriters, and claims managers is required.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and executive orders is required.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required for success in the role.
• Knowledge of regional geopolitical developments is an advantage.
