Description
- Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Delivery owns the end to end design, planning, delivery, and operation of the global AWS infrastructure.
- We are seeking an ID Install Technician to support network infrastructure deployment and expansion within next generation data center environments.
Key job responsibilities
- As an ID Install Technician, you support deployment of next generation network infrastructure across global data centers.
- Your day includes rack installation, structured cabling, hardware deployment, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and accurate delivery at scale.
- You work closely with Network Engineering, Operations, Security, and Logistics teams to execute infrastructure builds with precision and efficiency.
- The role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in fast paced, mission critical environments with minimal supervision.
- You proactively identify risks, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and deliver consistent operational excellence across complex, high impact deployments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in computer networking
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies
- Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
- Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science
- Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
- Knowledge of server hardware and components
