As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on our Digital & Technology team, you will lead the migration and modernization of enterprise Oracle databases to the public cloud. You will administer mission-critical Oracle Database 19c platforms in a 24/7 environment, focusing on Data Guard primary-standby configurations, ASM, Linux, and shell/Python automation. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead Oracle database migration and modernization to the public cloud.
Migrate Oracle workloads to GCP or other public cloud platforms.
Own migration processes, documentation, automation, and tooling.
Administer mission-critical Oracle Database 19c platforms in a 24/7 environment.
Implement and support Data Guard primary-standby configurations.
Administer and support Oracle ASM.
Perform database tuning, capacity planning, backup and recovery, patching, and upgrades.
Use Linux, shell scripting, and Python to automate database operations.
Meet cloud security standards and reduce operational and security risk.
Manage database lifecycle activities and operational documentation.
Collaborate with application stakeholders to resolve tickets.
Resolve failures and critical alerts within an Agile framework.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 5 + years administering, designing, modernizing, or migrating enterprise Oracle databases.
Core Technical Skills: Oracle Database 19c; Data Guard primary-standby; ASM; Linux; and shell scripting and/or Python.
High Availability and Recovery: Experience with HA, DR, backup and recovery, tuning, and production support.
Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud adoption, security, governance, and integration.
Automation and DevOps: Experience automating provisioning, support, monitoring, and lifecycle operations.
Operating Systems: Strong Linux experience; Windows Server is beneficial.
Engineering Practices: Working knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices and proofs of concept.
Service Orientation: Experience designing user-centric database services, including self-service provisioning.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; flexible, reliable, self-starting, and customer focused.
