Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and authority regulations.
Design & Technical Review - Prepare and review designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for dry utility networks. - Coordinate the design and integration of: - Electrical distribution systems (LV/MV/HV) - Street lighting systems - Telecommunications and fiber optic networks - ICT and smart city infrastructure - District cooling networks - Gas distribution systems - Review shop drawings, technical submissions, material submittals, and contractor proposals. - Verify compliance with utility authority requirements, project specifications, and international engineering standards. - Participate in utility master planning and infrastructure corridor design. Construction Supervision - Supervise on-site installation of dry utility infrastructure works. - Ensure construction activities are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. - Monitor construction progress and provide technical support during project execution. - Review contractor RFIs, method statements, NCRs, and technical queries. - Witness testing, energization, commissioning, and handover of utility systems. - Resolve technical issues and coordinate design modifications when required. Coordination & Stakeholder Management - Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, MEP, roads, landscape, and wet utility disciplines. - Liaise with utility authorities, service providers, clients, and contractors. - Support utility applications, approvals, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and authority coordination processes. - Attend technical meetings and provide engineering recommendations throughout project delivery. Quality, Safety & Compliance - Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures and engineering standards. - Monitor contractor adherence to approved methodologies and safety requirements. - Conduct inspections and audits to verify installation quality. - Support project HSE objectives and safe utility construction practices. - Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and authority regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related discipline.
Professional Engineer certification or membership of a recognized engineering institution is preferred.
Additional qualifications in power systems, telecommunications, or utility engineering are advantageous.
5-10+ years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on dry utilities.
Experience in engineering consultancy, PMC, design management, or construction supervision roles.
Demonstrated involvement in large-scale infrastructure, mixed-use developments, smart cities, industrial zones, airports, ports, or transportation projects.
Experience working with utility authorities and service providers.
