Infrastructure Engineer

Participate in infrastructure planning and integration for company acquisitions, including:

Network connectivity and architecture

Active Directory and identity integration

Server and application migrations

Security alignment and standardization

Identify opportunities to modernize legacy infrastructure and move toward cloud or hybrid solutions.

Security & Reliability Engineering:

Partner with IT leadership to strengthen the organization’s security posture across network, cloud, and server platforms.

Assist with investigation and remediation of security or infrastructure incidents.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance visibility across core infrastructure platforms.

Act as the highest escalation point for complex technical issues beyond desktop and junior systems administration scope.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to the Junior Systems Administrator and Desktop Support Analyst.

Establish and maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operating procedures.

Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders on infrastructure initiatives.

Provide technical planning input, timelines, and risk assessments for infrastructure projects.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

3-5+ commensurate work experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.

Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, and hybrid identity architectures.

Experience managing virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Solid understanding of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation.

Prefer experience with Aruba switching and wireless, Aruba Central, Meraki networking, and Fortinet firewalls.

Prefer experience migrating workloads from on-premises environments to Azure.

Prefer experience supporting Azure Virtual Machines and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Prefer familiarity with Intune, PowerShell automation, and infrastructure automation concepts.

Prefer experience supporting infrastructure integrations during company acquisitions or large migrations.
