About the Role
SPECTRAFORCE is hiring an IT Business Consultant for a 2-year contract in Toronto. You will convert raw data into meaningful analysis, develop dashboards, and support project tracking.

- Convert raw data into meaningful analysis with the help of interactive, easy to understand dashboards and reports, as well as, provide insights to improve decision making
- Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business analytics
- Filters and “cleans” data, and reviews performance indicators to locate and correct problems
- Team project/initiative tracking for various streams – weekly updates, summaries related for stakeholder/steering committee review
- Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues
- Business requirement gathering
- Interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develops and implements data collection from other systems and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Remains alert to new techniques for insights, analytics, and data visualization, and devises new ways of applying them
- Develop reporting specifications from business needs and choose a deadline for work completion
- Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve issues
- Performs onboarding, offboarding, adds and change requests as requested by line managers for Market Data services
Requirements
- Typically between 2 3 years of BA & PCO experience and post secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced level knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and business intelligence tools
- Project tracking software MS Planner, MS Project or other suites
- Ability to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions
- Possesses analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn new skills and work in a fast paced, frequently changing environment
- Verbal & written communication skills In depth
- Collaboration & team skills In depth

- The Initiative & Innovations Business Analyst role reporting to the Manager, B2B T&O Supplier Initiatives & Innovation is an integral role within the organization driving transformation, automation and facilitating decision making across all levels through various data insights.
- The Employee will be tasked with various projects and team tracking needs.
- This role will evolve during this stage of team development to enable best in class workforce, operational, reporting, visualizing and trend analysis capabilities.
