Informing parent/guardian about the infant hearing program-screening
Obtain consent from parent/guardian for screening test as well as consent for releasing screening results to the Infant Hearing Program at ErinoakKids Centre for treatment and development
Utilizing and ensuring the integrity of screening equipment
Communicating screening results to the parent/guardian and discussing the follow-up recommendations
Maintaining competency in the testing procedures
Community College Diploma in a health related field such as communications disorder specialist or hearing instrument specialist
Demonstrated recent experience working with newborns, infants and their families
Demonstrated work experience within a health care setting
Demonstrated knowledge of principles of adult education
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to prioritize workload and work effectively with the healthcare team
Self-directed, independent and professional
Able to deal effectively with newborns, infants and their families
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability with managing databases (i.e. Access, SQL)
Demonstrated experience with computer applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Meditech with attention to accuracy and detail
Excellent attendance record
May be required to work and travel between all Osler sites
Hours: Currently days, eight hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary: Minimum: $31.51 per hour Maximum: $39.43 per hour
