Industrial Engineer

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Review current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements to the planning process and production costs .
• Monitor product flow and implement changes to the processes to increase productivity and quality standards .
• Evaluate current manufacturing practices, manage production schedules, and improve efficiency and Quality
• Enforce quality control to reduce waste
• Assist the Business System Leaders (Statesville Leadership team) with projects as needed
• Assist leaders in driving safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory metrics in their respective areas, and help establish measures of success.
• Participate in root cause, corrective action process as needed and ensure that business is conducted at the highest level of integrity
• Support Human Resource initiatives across the business (engagement activities and career fairs)
• Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and demonstrate high integrity in all aspects of business
• Maintain and build trusted relationships with peers, key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders

Requirements

• BS/BA Degree required in related field
• 0-2 years of experience in an Industrial Engineer role or similar preferred; new graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Experience in 6 Sigma Training / Experience preferred
• Ability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations with multiple projects
• Travel as needed, up to 20% to our sister plant in Statesville, NC
