Role overview
Maintain production machinery and support a future-ready manufacturing supply chain through reliable equipment performance.
The role focuses on safety, breakdown recovery, preventive maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Close machine safety hazards and monitor adherence to factory safety standards.
- Identify breakdown root causes and prevent similar hazards or failures from recurring.
- Rectify machine breakdowns and create an EWO after each breakdown is corrected.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and continuously improve the preventive maintenance plan.
- Rectify machine quality defects and ensure products meet quality requirements.
- Create SAP and CMMS work orders for maintenance activities and component withdrawals.
- Suggest maintenance improvements and provide input on standard maintenance procedures and component life.
- Carry out improvement projects, assist with minor line issues, and perform machine changeovers.
- Maintain machine spare parts and follow component withdrawal procedures.
Professional qualifications
- Full mechanical technician training through ITI, an engineering or maintenance engineering diploma, or a two-year vocational training course.
- English speaking, comprehension, and writing skills are required.
