Role Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services operates global data center infrastructure supporting servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.
The ID-LB Cabling Infrastructure Tech works with software, hardware, network, supply chain, security, and operations teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Follow data center security and safety best practices.
- Install and test copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Create and attach labels and barcodes.
- Use power meters, light sources, OTDRs, VFLs, Fluke equipment, network analyzers, and other cabling test equipment.
- Build and troubleshoot network devices at a basic level.
- Manage related material inventory and coordinate daily deliveries to site.
- Follow escalation processes and standard operating procedures.
- Work in noisy, hot, cold, elevated, and confined work areas, including under raised floors.
- Use a ticketing system and travel within the geographical work area.
Basic Qualifications
- Diploma or graduation in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-2 years of project management or operations planning experience.
- 1-2 years of physical network infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting experience.
