Provide professional, responsive 1st and 2nd line IT support—remotely, by phone, and on-site
Build and configure laptops, desktops and mobile devices for new starters
Support software installations, rebuilds and upgrades across the business
Log and manage tickets, escalating complex issues where needed
Liaise with third-party providers to resolve hardware and connectivity issues
Carry out daily backup checks and manage tape changes for main office sites
Install and maintain IT setups at new project offices
Help design and implement infrastructure improvements and support wider IT projects
Keep asset records, technical documentation and licensing up to date
Suggest cost-effective procurement options and raise purchase requests
Stay current with emerging tech and recommend innovations that support the business
Support Hill’s change control process and maintain H&S compliance
At least 2 years’ experience in 1st and 2nd line support
Proficient in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office
Familiar with helpdesk systems and remote support tools
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Basic server and Exchange knowledge (2008R2, 2010)
Good understanding of IT security best practices
Experience managing tasks independently and escalating appropriately
Willingness to travel to regional sites as needed
Curious, collaborative and always ready to learn
