We’re looking for an experienced and proactive ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and developing the technology that supports front line services across the organisation.
As an ICT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a technical expert for core infrastructure services, helping to ensure our systems remain secure, reliable and fit for the future.
You’ll work across a diverse technology estate, supporting on-premises and cloud-based services, managing infrastructure, automating processes, resolving complex technical issues and driving continuous improvement.
Working as part of a wider technical team, you’ll also provide expert support to colleagues, create and maintain technical documentation, help shape best practice and contribute to projects that enhance service delivery.

Monitoring systems (SolarWinds, etc), alerts, patching and vulnerabilities and providing proactive maintenance to ensure security and performance.
Using patch management and automation tools such as Intune, SCCM, Nessus, Dell Secure Connect Gateway and scripts to manage and improve services.
Managing, maintain and enhancing ICT infrastructure across the Service.
Supporting and managing endpoint devices, including MDM and MAM policies.
Working with Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V and VMware
Supporting cyber security initiatives, vulnerability management and remediation activities, including creating and maintaining a vulnerability management process
Troubleshooting advanced technical issues across Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Windows Services and networking technologies, acting as an escalation point for the First Line Service Desk team when required
Producing and maintaining technical documentation, diagrams, procedures and knowledge articles.
Collaborating with internal teams, suppliers and partner organisations to deliver effective ICT services.
Acting as a technical subject matter expert and promoting best practice across DDaT.
Supporting service management activities in line with ITIL principles and continuous improvement.
We’re seeking someone with strong patching and infrastructure engineering experience and a passion for delivering high-quality technology services.
You’ll have experience in:
Patch management and automation tools
Cyber security and vulnerability management
Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies
Windows Server and Active Directory administration, including identity and access control
Endpoint management and device configuration
Virtualisation technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
Network infrastructure and remote access solutions.
Technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
