HVAC Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and install aviation-critical air conditioning and mechanical systems that support Australia's National Airways System.

Performing preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with prescribed procedures and standards.

Undertaking installation and project activities on HVAC and associated mechanical systems.

Maintaining an awareness of operational impacts when performing work on Airservices systems.

Accurately recording maintenance activities within maintenance management systems.

Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.

Working effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful service delivery.

Supporting and coaching team members where required.

Complying with safety, environmental, risk and governance requirements.

Working independently and managing tasks with limited supervision

The successful applicant will have:

Significant experience maintaining and installing commercial and industrial HVAC systems including chilled water systems, cooling towers, air handling units, building control systems, packaged units and split systems.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

The ability to plan, prioritise and organise work effectively with limited guidance.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

A commitment to safety, teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.

The following qualifications are essential to be considered for this role:

Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick).

Current Restricted Electrical Licence (or Victorian equivalent).

Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Current CPR/LVR qualification (or willingness to obtain).

Construction Industry White Card.

Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

Australian Citizenship (required to obtain and maintain the necessary Defence Baseline Security Clearance).

Relevant trade licences required under legislative and Airservices requirements

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

ACMA Data Cabling Licence.

Experience with diesel generators and power generation systems.

High Risk Work Licence - Dogging.

Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain.

Experience working within operational, critical infrastructure or aviation environments.

To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance and Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
