Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC senior service technician in equipment installation, maintenance and repairs
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
- Comply with Primepower servicing schedules and procedures
- Ensure all equipment is prepared for hire in compliance with Primepower ‘Green Card’ procedure
- Ensure all work performed reports are approved by client and legibly produced
- Ensure immediate response and minimal disruption to client’s requirements
- Maintain a minimum spares level in service vehicle
- Compliance with 24 hour call out policy
Requirements
- College Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field or relevant qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant role or related field
- Must hold an official HVAC trade qualification from a recognized organization
- Previous experience with York, Carrier and Trane Chillers and DX and Split units
- Experience with HVAC controllers from York, Trane, and Carrier, including training certificates
- Possession of driving license essential
- Good command of English language, spoken and written
- Ability to read electrical drawings

Key Relationships
- Internal: HVAC Senior Service Technician, Service Admin, Service Manager, Operations Manager and Managing Director (if necessary)
- External: Clients / customers, Site Project Managers (if necessary)
Accountabilities
- Assist HVAC senior service technician in equipment installation, maintenance and repairs
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions
Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with Primepower servicing schedules and procedures
- Ensure all equipment is prepared for hire in compliance with Primepower ‘Green Card’ procedure
- Ensure all work performed reports are approved by client (on site) and are legibly produced
- Ensure immediate response and minimal disruption to client’s requirements
- Ensure good housekeeping of work area and service vehicle
- Maintain a minimum spares level in service vehicle as per procedures
- Effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and unnecessary repair costs
- Customer satisfaction externally & internally
- Compliance to QHSE & ISO Standards and Procedures
- Compliance with 24 hour call – out policy
- Any other duties considered essential for effective operations and service.
Desired Skills
- Able to work the hours required to enhance the service division operations
- Ideally have a recognized qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- Be computer Literate
- Good command of English language, spoken and written
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment

- Must be able to work to written procedures and comply with company policies

- Previous Experience with HVAC and Temperature controls (Carrier/LG/York etc.) DX Packages Units
- Previous Experience with HVAC and Temperature controls (Carrier/LG/York etc.) Air cooled chiller units
- Capable of basic administration and working to written procedure
- Ability to calculate cooling level based on site conditions
Qualifications
- College Degree in in a Mechanical or Electrical field or relevant qualifications
- Previous Experience with York, Carrier and Trane Chillers and DX and Split units
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience relevant role or related field
- Experience with HVAC controllers from York, Trane, and Carrier, including training certificates for courses attended in programming
- Dealer experience (York, Trane, Carrier)
- Must hold an official HVAC trade qualification from a recognized organization
- Previous experience with Chiller plant District cooling
- Previous experience in the rental industry
- Must possess experience in repairing piston compressors and screw compressors
