Ensure the Health and Safety of all members of the public using the facility by adhering to the Royal Lifesaving Society ‘Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations’ and other relevant guidelines and regulations, policies and procedures.
Maintain appropriate aquatic supervision at all times through continued observation of the aquatic areas in-line with pool lifeguard training, handbooks and processes.
Take an active role educating the public on aquatic safety through informal discussions.
Educate users on aquatic safety including rule enforcement in-line with the relevant procedures.
Ensure all standards relevant to lifeguard operations are maintained at all times.
The employee is always well presented, portrays a professional image through positive body language and posture and uniform is worn in accordance with policy.
Ensure equipment is placed in an appropriate location at commencement of duty and is used and maintained in-line with protocols.
Equipment is checked daily for wear, tear and damage and any deficiency is reported to the Duty Supervisor or Team Leader Aquatic Operations immediately.
Ensure satisfactory completion of all pool duties required during each shift and that the recording of data and information is accurate, complete, and entered in accordance with set procedures.
Complete in an accurate and timely manner all incident reports.
Contribute to the overall cleanliness and presentation of the centre by undertaking allocated cleaning duties, maintaining aquatic and surrounding areas in a safe and hygienic condition, and reporting any maintenance or cleanliness concerns promptly.
