As Human Resources Advisor, you’ll play an important role in supporting the colleagues who bring our world-class island resort to life.

Working closely with the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager, you’ll be a trusted partner to leaders and colleagues, providing practical HR advice, supporting the employee journey and helping create a workplace where people can thrive.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and making a real difference.

You’ll work across everything from HR processes and employee support to compliance, immigration and policy, while managing competing priorities with confidence and discretion.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and colleagues on policies, procedures and people-related matters.

Maintain and administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring documents remain current, compliant and accessible.

Prepare workforce reports and people analytics including turnover, retention, headcount, visa status, probationary reviews and engagement metrics.

Ensure employee records, HR systems and personnel files are maintained accurately and confidentially.

Maintain accurate records relating to immigration, visas, PALM Scheme employees, performance management and recognition programs.

Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies and visa obligations.

Promote a positive, inclusive and service-driven culture aligned with InterContinental Hotels Group values.

Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety and other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and InterContinental Hotels Group policies and procedures.

rate $85,000.00 + super

To be successful in this full-time role, you’ll have:

Formal qualification in Human Resource Management.

Demonstrated experience within Human Resources of at least 1 year.

Strong understanding of the Industrial Relations, Employment Relations and Fair Work Act.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer systems, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams), with the ability to accurately manage employee data, generate reports, and support efficient HR operations.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take ownership of assigned responsibilities and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.

Proven ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality and build trust through reliable and professional performance.

Self-confident, creative and proactive with the ability to prioritise and make effective decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to build strong relationships, interact and influence others at all levels of the organisation.

Strong systems and program savvy is required.
