The Human Resources Generalist serves as a collaborative business partner to the location’s Human Resources Manager and Director of Human Resources in the day-to-day administration of human resources, employee/labor relations, leave administration, recruitment and compliance administration.
This position ensures compliance with Keolis’ Human Relations policies, reporting requirements, customer service, and the Client requirements.
This position will be required to closely coordinate on all HR functions, including but not limited to investigations, recruiting, leave administration, compliance, payroll and other key employment objectives.
A successful candidate in this role will have specific expertise in human resources, employee/labor relations as well as have experience working in an environment challenged regularly by conflicting priorities.

o Be a liaison between management and employees to resolve employee relations issues and grievances for both union and non-union employees.

o Manage programs, policies, and procedures in support of change management and company culture.
o Support management with the performance review process.
o Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing company policy, procedures, federal and state law and its requirements.
o Maintain employee files by designing a filing retrieval system in addition to maintaining electronic employee records to view past and current personnel records.
o Contributes to the leadership team in accomplishing HR related tasks pertaining to the client’s request.
o May be assigned as a subject-matter expert on one or more human resource disciplines for the company.
o Evaluates potential issues or service needs and formulates strategic responses.
o Complete HR reports (e.g., payroll reports, trackers etc.)
Talent and Recruitment:
o Leads talent management in establishing recruiting, testing, and interviewing programs.
o Manage candidate staffing, selection and community outreach.
o Run background screening for all new hires, and annually for current employees.
o Partner with the recruiting department in creating job requisitions and seeking their approval
o Maintain job boards and internal postings as per CBA.
o Collaborate with the leadership team in selecting a candidate.
o Maintain work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
o Conduct onboard training in educating employees on their work assignments, and site orientation.
Compensation/ Benefits/Payroll function:
o Conduct periodic pay surveys, job evaluations, employee incentives.
o Process promotions, and demotions.
o Responsible for providing new employees with benefits log-in information and access to me@keolis portal.
o Assist employees on their selected benefits electronically.
o Train managers on candidate selection and interviewing skills, coaching and disciplining employees.
o Conduct orientation training for all newly hired employees and give tours to the facility.
o Oversee and create the implementation of training with the use of a tracking system.
o Partner with the Leave Administrator in processing all leave of absences (FMLA, PDL, ADA, Workers Comp).
o Notify employees of their approved/denied leave via letter and administer all applicable pamphlets and information to the employee to remain compliant with all applicable laws
o Complete and keep up to date leave trackers
o Collect benefit payments for those employees on leave
