Role Overview
The Workplace Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Manager is responsible for the delivery of operational, administrative and maintenance systems related to WHSEQ and to support the UGL Facilities Maintenance (FM) team on Cross River Rail (CRR).
This will be achieved through the establishment of a robust system of documentation, operating systems, and a reporting regime to ensure compliance against the project deliverables detailed in the FM Subcontract, Project Scope and Technical Requirements and associated project contractual documents.
Ensuring further that all maintenance systems, asset issues, documentation and related reporting and legislative requirements are maintained and addressed in a timely manner supporting the project team in achieving a positive outcome to issues that may impact the project.
The role will also establish delivery performance and improvements through its day-to-day operations and must ensure that this service delivers against the project’s performance requirements for response to issues across the project.
In addition, the role will assist in the administrative support to the Cross River Rail project team in the collation of reporting requirements both internally and external to UGL Transport
Key Responsibilities establish a certifiable safety, environment and quality system for the project ensuring that all rail specific, facility maintenance and health and safety legislation is complied with as a minimum and driving towards industry best practice act as a subject matter expert for all health and safety matters across the project regularly interface and provide support to existing Project Managers and operational teams develop and refine existing health and safety plans, policies, and procedures delivery of accurate and consistent HSQE key performance indicators (KPI’s) which includes leading and lagging indicators, and supporting plans to continuously improve safety performance supporting the overall implementation of the HSQE scheduled deliverables for the project team, subcontractors and the systems interface with Queensland Rail monitor the CRR systems and ensure that all environmental conditions are maintained. develop a working partnership with WHESQ representatives within Queensland Rail (QR) assisting in the preparation and implementation of Management Plan/s assist with the development and review of policies and procedures and associated communication to staff ensuring timely and accurate project planning documentation which meets UGL Transport’s standards acting as a resource for the Project Director during the development of project plans, Work Method Statements and other documentation used in the management of the business meet service standard consistently by ensuring effective, timely and transparent reporting to management, clients and UGL Transport maintain records and statistics relating to UGLFM WHSEQ services preparing reports against the Safety, EMP and Quality Plan, identifying NCRs and CARs, if required
Qualifications prior experience working in the delivery of major infrastructure projects is highly regarded minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Operations, Maintenance or Facilities Maintenance environment formal qualifications in Quality, Safety and/or environment experience in conducting WHSEQ audits
