Key Responsibilities

  • As Commercial Manager (Pre Contracts), you will report to the Senior Commercial Manager and work closely with bid and legal teams to support conversion of tendering opportunities by: - Lead the development of commercial deliverables for submission of expression of interests and tender ensuring they are competitive, accurate, and profitable; - ensure tender submissions align with UGLT policies, including conducting risk assessments of contract terms and conditions; - Input into commercial advice and recommendations to bid and senior management teams; - Develop procurement strategies for subcontract packages and negotiating terms; - In conjunction with legal teams support preparation of client departures: identifying and assessing risks during the tender process; - Negotiating contract terms, conditions, and departures with clients, JV partners, and key subcontractor packages.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of proven, extensive experience in commercial management, specifically within pre-contracts/bidding. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, or Business. Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of contracts, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
