Role Overview
HSE Officer position supporting an oil and gas drilling project.
The role covers rig operations, contractor HSE performance, compliance, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with more than 5 years of experience in oil and gas projects.
- Minimum 8 years of oil and gas experience, including at least 3 years in drilling and workover operations.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in rig operations.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent HSE certifications are advantageous.
- ADNOC or ARAMCO approval is preferable.
Responsibilities
- Verify PTW and JSA compliance across rig and contractor activities.
- Conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programs.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and drills.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations and reporting.
- Identify hazards through inspections, audits, and site monitoring.
- Ensure effective risk controls and contractor compliance with HSEMS requirements.
- Review contractor PTW and JSA systems, track corrective actions, and report progress.
- Monitor HSE statistics, trends, and KPIs for proactive planning.
- Liaise with rig, OIM, and contractor representatives on HSE performance.
- Prepare regular HSE performance reports.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 5,000 per month plus an offshore allowance.
Rotation
- The rotation schedule is 42 days on and 21 days off.
