Job responsibilities
- Develop and enforce the site’s overall health and safety plan with management.
- Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, and high-level HSE audits.
- Investigate serious incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and client-specific HSE standards.
- Oversee emergency preparedness, drills, evacuation plans, and first-aid response systems.
- Supervise and train junior HSE officers, safety assistants, and site workers.
- Review method statements and safety procedures with engineering and construction teams.
- Maintain site inspection, incident, training, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Interface with government inspectors, client HSE representatives, and auditors.
- Promote continuous improvement and behavioral safety throughout the workforce.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in the UAE or GCC construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments, incident investigation, and UAE safety regulations.
- Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
Compensation
- The description states pay of AED 9,000–10,000 per hour.
