Overview

  • We are seeking a detail oriented HSE Inspector to join our PMC team for a transportation project entering the Design & Build phase.
  • The selected candidate will work under the HSE Manager and be responsible for monitoring the D&B contractor's compliance with HSE standards.

Your Role

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor and ensure the D&B contractor's compliance with HSE standards, regulations, and project specific requirements.
  • Review the contractor's HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Assist in incident investigations and ensure root causes are identified, and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare and present HSE reports, including statistics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide HSE guidance and support to the project team, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and conduct HSE training and awareness programs for project personnel and contractors.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and maintained.
  • Promote a positive HSE culture and ensure continuous improvement in HSE performance.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on HSE matters.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 7 years of experience in HSE management, with a focus on metro or railway projects.
  • Proven experience in a PMC environment, acting as a client representative.
  • In depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in conducting HSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and management principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Mandatory Experience in the rail, metro or any transit sectors or something similar.
