About the Role

Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project HSE plans, policies, and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe conditions
- Review Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; conduct root cause analysis
- Conduct HSE induction training for employees and visitors; deliver toolbox talks and safety campaigns
- Prepare and maintain HSE records, reports, registers, and documentation
- Develop and implement emergency response plans; coordinate emergency drills and evacuation exercises
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and project environmental management plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of HSE experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial projects
- Professional Health & Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Construction, IOSH, OSHA 30, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor)
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and regulations
- Experience with risk assessments and hazard identification techniques
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Job Description
- We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer to oversee and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements on construction, infrastructure, and engineering projects.
- The successful candidate will ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations, company policies, and project specific requirements while fostering a strong safety culture across the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor project HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved safety plans and method statements.
- Review Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate identified risks.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across project teams.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and project environmental management plans.
- Identify environmental risks and ensure implementation of mitigation measures.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts.
- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct HSE induction training for employees and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of HSE experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and regulations.
- Professional Health & Safety certification is mandatory or highly preferred.

- OSHA 30 Hour Certification
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor

Technical Skills
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Experience with risk assessments and hazard identification techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of construction safety requirements and permit to work systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Experience in managing multinational workforces and multiple contractors.
