Role Overview
The role is an HSE Engineer supporting offshore oil and gas operations at MUB.
The position promotes HSSE performance, environmental compliance, risk control, audits, training, and contractor safety.
Work Location
- Work is offshore at MUB.
- The offshore schedule is 28 days on and 28 days off.
Working Hours
- Offshore working hours are 06:30 to 18:30, seven days a week.
Contract and Benefits
- The position is contract hire with a six-month probation period.
- Round-trip economy air travel, health insurance, food, and single-status accommodation are provided according to company policy.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or science is required, with chemical, mechanical, or environmental disciplines preferred.
- NEBOSH IGC or IOSH accredited certification is required.
- At least 10 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry is required.
- Experience in EMS/HSEMS, environmental compliance, audits, risk assessment, incident investigation, and oil spill response is required.
- Offshore oil and gas facilities experience is an advantage.
- A UAE driving licence is required.
HSE Responsibilities
- Promote HSSE policies, keep current with legislation, and participate in task risk assessments and safety programs.
- Conduct plant inspections, identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and maintain HSSE material inventories.
- Participate in HSEMS audits and coordinate with project coordinators on security systems.
- Deliver site-specific HSSE awareness training and prepare recurring reports and activity records.
- Monitor contractors, support accident-free work, and recommend improvements to environmental systems and controls.
Required Skills
- Expert knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, PPE requirements, and occupational health and safety practices.
- Strong incident investigation, training, presentation, and team leadership skills.
