Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with UAE laws and international standards
- Ensure compliance with Municipality and authority requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Prepare and submit HSE documentation, reports, and permits required by authorities
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for staff and subcontractors
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with government authorities during inspections and audits
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors on HSE related matters
- Maintain HSE records including incident logs, training records, permits, and inspections
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports for management
Requirements
- Proven background as an HSE Engineer working on high profile projects in the UAE
- Experience working for recognised Main Contracting Companies in the capacity of HSE Engineer
- Knowledge of UAE laws and international HSE standards

Overview
- Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client has a new requirement for a well experienced HSE Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to work on a high profile new VVIP Palace project.
- Successful candidates will have a proven background as a HSE Engineer working on high profile projects in the UAE and must have worked for recognised Main Contracting Companies in the capacity of HSE Engineer previously.
- This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.
Key Responsibilities
- HSE Management & Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with UAE laws and international standards.
- Ensure compliance with Municipality and authority requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Prepare and submit HSE documentation, reports, and permits required by authorities.
- Site Safety & Operations: Monitor daily site activities to ensure safe work practices are followed.
