Job Description
The employer is hiring an HSE Engineer to implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental systems in an MEP construction environment.
The role focuses on statutory compliance, industry best practices, site safety, inspections, training, incident investigation, and safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in line with project and legal requirements.
- Conduct inspections and audits at MEP project sites to identify hazards and ensure safe work practices.
- Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to workers and staff.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports with corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation, records, and permits for regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate safety matters with site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors.
- Promote safety awareness across all levels of the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
- 3–7 years of relevant construction experience, preferably in MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards.
