HSE Advisor

Job requirements

• Provide dedicated on-site HSE support across civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, structural steel and tank construction

• Develop and implement project safety plans and Safe Work Method Statements, ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and BildGroup procedures

• Conduct site inspections and internal audits, including subcontractor compliance audits across active project sites

• Lead preparation and coordination for client and government authority audits, including those conducted by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT)

• Promote a positive safety culture across project teams and support the achievement of zero incidents and injuries

• Demonstrated experience in an HSE Advisor or equivalent field-based role, ideally within civil infrastructure, construction or a closely related industry

• Solid working knowledge of audit processes, safety legislation and SWMS development

• Confidence managing client and government authority audits, including preparation, documentation and stakeholder engagement under scrutiny

• Current driver's licence and genuine willingness to travel regularly to project sites across South Australia, including extended regional travel

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
