✨Job Purpose

The HR Sustainability Coordinator supports Chef Middle East’s sustainability and ESG agenda by coordinating relevant requirements, promoting responsible business practices, and embedding sustainability initiatives within HR and office operations.

The role also supports sustainable travel practices and employee engagement in environmental and social responsibility programs.

🎯Key Responsibilities

Sustainability & Esg Coordination

  • Coordinate and support the EcoVadis assessment process, including data collection, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Marketing, HR, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Facilities, Sales, Categories) to ensure accurate and timely sustainability reporting.
  • Support in monitoring ESG-related KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with EcoVadis and company sustainability goals.
  • Stay informed on sustainability standards, ESG trends, and regulatory requirements relevant to the business.

Office Sustainability Activities

  • Promote paperless practices, digital documentation, and responsible printing behavior.
  • Support waste segregation, recycling programs, and reduction of single-use plastics in the office.
  • Encourage efficient use of energy and water in collaboration with Facilities Management.
  • Monitor basic office sustainability metrics and maintain related documentation for audits and EcoVadis assessments.
  • Organize sustainability awareness campaigns, internal communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee sustainability ideas and green initiatives.

Sustainable Travel & Business Practices

  • Review, identify, and maintain a list of eco-certified hotels for employee business travel.
  • Capture travel data and compliance with eco initiatives related to travel
  • Support the implementation of sustainable travel guidelines and encourage responsible travel choices.

Documentation, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain accurate sustainability records, evidence, and documentation.
  • Support internal audits, ESG reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support implementation of sustainability initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in HR, sustainability, ESG, compliance, or a related role.
  • Experience or exposure to EcoVadis or similar ESG frameworks is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards, responsible sourcing, or corporate social responsibility practices is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and report data.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Passion for sustainability and responsible business practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
