Role Overview

  • The HR Officer will support the delivery of day to day Human Resources operations in the project site (North Africa). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient HR administration, maintaining accurate employee records, supporting the employee lifecycle from onboarding to off

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain employee attendance, timesheets, and leave records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including documentation, orientation, and induction.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HR related inquiries, providing timely guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring all HR documentation is up to date.
  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, certificates, and other HR related documents.
  • Assist in implementing and communicating HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with performance management activities, including probation reviews and performance appraisal administration.
  • Coordinate with department managers on employee lifecycle activities and HR administrative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and internal HR processes.
  • Generate HR reports and maintain HR databases as required.
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment activities when needed.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an HR Officer, HR Coordinator, or similar HR role.
  • Sound knowledge of HR principles, employment practices, and labor regulations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
