Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This role will provide hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions, including compliance, onboarding, employee communication, and project support. The HR Intern will play an important part in keeping employee records accurate, supporting department initiatives, and assisting with day-to-day HR operations. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning how HR supports both employees and the business while gaining practical skills in a professional environment.
Requirements
- Update company databases by inputting new employee records.
- Screening resumes and application forms to identify prospective employees to fill company job vacancies.
- Assist with HR project management and tracking.
- Assist with conducting exit interviews.
- Assist with personnel administration and employee information.
- Audit I-9 files and follow up with employees regarding missing or incomplete documentation.
- Assist with maintaining the HR documents, ensuring forms and resources are organized, current, and accurate.
- Provide administrative support as needed including at occasional construction jobsites.
- Serve as a backup point of contact to support HR team members.
- Other HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM or studying toward a degree in Human Resources or related field including those re-entering the workforce.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in an office environment.
- Basic understanding of employee and labor laws.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
