Role Description

  • The Owner role at HandsWorth Institute is a full time, on site position based in Ibadan.
  • The Owner is responsible for overseeing overall institutional strategy, academic program development, and quality assurance across diploma and certificate courses.
  • This role includes leading and mentoring staff, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring compliance with relevant educational regulations and accreditation requirements.
  • The Owner will cultivate partnerships with industry and academic stakeholders, guide marketing and enrollment initiatives, and monitor learner experience and outcomes.
  • Daily activities involve decision making on operations, reviewing performance reports, addressing issues affecting staff and learners, and driving continuous improvement of part time, e learning, and distance learning offerings.

Qualifications

  • Ability to provide strategic leadership, set institutional vision, and drive long term growth.
  • Experience in education management, program development, or administration of training institutes or schools.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision making skills to manage multiple programs and teams.
  • Financial and business management skills, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, learners, and external partners.
  • Understanding of e learning, distance education, and part time program delivery models.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards in the education sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles and a track record of building and improving educational or training organizations.
