The role
The HPC Systems Engineer works within a team to provide a performant, reliable, and secure high-performance computing environment.
The role covers HPC system design and engineering as well as daily operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and technology evaluation.
What you will do
- Establish overall support strategies for the HPC system.
- Evaluate new hardware and software and assess their effects on the environment.
- Perform hardware maintenance and software installations and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and health.
- Support data management in the environment.
- Resolve user problems and help users effectively utilize the system.
- Work with global business customers and technical teams across time zones.
- Engage vendors on infrastructure problems, technology roadmaps, and evaluations.
- Maintain cross-organizational contacts and productive team interactions.
