Role Overview
Manages daily housekeeping operations within a healthcare facility.
The role supports high cleaning and infection-control standards and maintains a safe, hygienic environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Housekeeping Operations
- Supervise housekeeping across patient rooms, wards, corridors, and public areas.
- Monitor staff schedules, attendance, and performance.
- Oversee terminal cleaning, waste management, PPE usage, and cleaning-supply inventory.
Training and Coordination
- Train staff on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, hygiene protocols, COSHH/MSDS, color-coding, and patient-room etiquette.
- Coordinate with nursing and facility teams to resolve operational issues.
- Maintain shift-handover logs, incident reports, and audit scores.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of infection control, terminal cleaning, and healthcare sanitation standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Healthcare audit experience, including JCI or MOH, is advantageous.
