Role Overview
Housekeeping room attendant role at a hotel apartment property.
The position is responsible for guest-room cleaning, housekeeping equipment upkeep, reporting defects, and maintaining the housekeeping workstation.
Room and Equipment Duties
- Clean rooms according to hotel procedures and policies.
- Keep room attendants’ carts and caddies neat, clean, and tidy.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
- Report loss or damage to linen, furniture, fixtures, or equipment to the supervisor.
- Report engineering and maintenance defects to housekeeping.
Room Records and Supplies
- Change accessible fused light bulbs and report defects involving lights in high areas.
- Update room status and record time in and out on the required report.
- Return extra pillows, bed boards, blankets, and other items to the linen store.
- Maintain cleanliness in the pantry and housekeeping workstation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of housekeeping experience is required.
- Ability to follow hotel room-cleaning procedures and policies is required.
