We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Hostess cum Cashier to join our team.
This dual-role position involves welcoming guests, managing reservations, and handling billing transactions efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
Hostess Duties
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Handle guest inquiries, waitlists, and special requests
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth table turnover
Cashier Duties
- Process customer bills accurately using POS systems
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and digital payments
- Issue receipts and manage billing discrepancies
- Balance cash register at the beginning and end of shifts
- Maintain records of transactions and report any inconsistencies
- Assist in daily sales reporting when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Basic math and computer skills (POS system knowledge is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
