Key Responsibilities
- Lead assigned restaurant sections during breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet, and à la carte operations.
- Prepare tables, buffet areas, and service stations before service.
- Allocate and coordinate waiters within the assigned section.
- Maintain IHG service standards and the sequence of service.
- Coordinate guest requests, dietary requirements, and buffet replenishment with Culinary.
- Support revenue, average-check, and upselling targets.
- Use POS, billing, and payment procedures correctly.
- Handle guest concerns and escalate serious complaints when required.
Team Support and Training
- Lead by example and support colleagues throughout service.
- Assist with daily briefings and communicate operational priorities.
- Support waiter training on service standards, menus, beverages, allergens, upselling, and guest engagement.
- Support orientation and on-the-job training for new colleagues.
- Participate in menu tastings, product knowledge sessions, meetings, and scheduled training.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in luxury hotels, reputable restaurants, buffet, or à la carte service is advantageous.
- Previous Senior Waiter, Captain, or similar experience is preferred.
- Experience in all-day dining, buffet, and à la carte service.
- Good menu, beverage, POS, and food safety knowledge.
- Strong guest service and communication skills.
- Good English communication skills; Arabic is advantageous.
- Previous IHG, luxury hotel, or GCC experience is preferred.
